YOUTH CONCERT ENDOWMENT FUND

Endow a concert, enrich a child

One of the great public services and delights of the Jacksonville Symphony Orchestra is exposing grade school students to the wonders of classical and orchestral music at its annual Youth Concert, held since its inception in the 1980's at MacMurray College’s Annie Merner Chapel.  Typically serving at least a thousand students and their teachers, this concert provides an introduction for many students to great composers and musical compositions performed to full advantage by an accomplished symphony orchestra.  In addition, the Youth Concert has inspired countless students to play a musical instrument.

By contributing to the Youth Concert Endowment Fund you can forever enrich the musical and cultural experience of generations of students to come.  Your donation to the Endowment Fund will be earmarked for the specific purpose of providing support for our annual Youth Concerts.  Our goal is to reach $100,000 in endowment gifts to help fund the Youth Concert in perpetuity.

Please contact Jacksonville Symphony Society Executive Director Jeremy Hommowun at 217-245-1181 or visit the endowment webpage to learn how you too can be an important part of a young person’s intellectual and cultural development that will live with the student for the rest of his or her life.  By endowing the Youth Concert, you can enrich a child’s life forever, as well as enriching the lives of children far into the future.
