Our 57th Season! The 57th season of the Jacksonville Symphony Society is sure to astound our audiences! With 5 season performances, our annual youth concert and Talent Among Us Competition, we cannot wait for you to join us. Our line up for the season includes the 2019 Talent Among Us Winner, a world class clarinetist, and two amazing guest choirs. The orchestra and chorale cannot wait to join forces with these amazingly talented musicians to provide you with a great symphonic experience.
The season opens on October 5 with featured soloist Claire Ryterski (soprano). Next, we will feature a true clarinet virtuoso, Katsuya Yuasa on November 9. Our annual holiday concert is presented at the family friendly 3:00pm on December 14, and this year will feature the Chorale joined by the Jacksonville High School Choir! We break into the spring with our annual Talent Among Us Competition. Following that is our annual youth concert, where we invite our local schools to come out and enjoy an educational concert program. Our next season concert will be on March 21 and will take you on a criss-crossing journey across the US. Closing out this amazing season, we will be presenting Beethoven's famed Symphony no. 9. Join the Orchestra, Chorale, and Illinois College Choir on May 2 for a performance that you will not want to miss. We hope that you will join us for this exciting season, and we thank you for your support of the Jacksonville Symphony Society. Tickets can be purchased online and at the door, and we are especially excited that we will now be accepting credit/debit cards. I encourage you to also show your support for our season sponsors and advertisers.
